71-00-01 Engine Ground Run
1. General
Do an engine ground run after overhaul, maintenance, replace, or repair on the engine.
Safety precautions
Obey these precautions to prevent injury to yourself or others working near aircraft engines:
Keep the area around the aircraft clear of debris. The air intake ducts are
dangerous to the engine itself and to the personnel.
The engine exhaust and the propeller area is dangerous to the personnel due to
the high temperature and high velocity of the exhaust gases flow.
Only authorized personnel is permitted to do the engine ground run.
Incorrect engine maintenance can cause failure to the engine during operation.
For warranty reason, only approved parts from the Austro Engine GmbH must
be used.
