5. Engine Oil
If a quick drain valve is installed as part of the power plant installation, refer to the
Airplane Maintenance Manual for the procedures to drain and refill the engine oil.
A. Drain the Engine Oil

(1)
Remove the lock-wire from the drain plug.
Refer to Fig. 79 - 10.
(2)
Put a container (min 8.5 l) below the drain plug.
(3)
Open the oil drain plug.
Refer to Fig. 79 - 10.
(4)
Let the engine oil drain off.
(5)
Remove the oil dipstick.
(6)
Open and remove the oil filter.
Refer to Paragraph 3.A.
B. Fill the Engine Oil

(1)
Tighten the oil drain plug with a new sealing
ring.
Refer to Fig. 79 - 10.
Torque 30 Nm.
(2)
Secure the oil drain plug wit lock-wire.
Refer to Fig. 79 - 10.
Lock-wire Ø 0.81 mm.
(3)
Install the oil filter.
Refer to Paragraph 3.B
(4)
Fill engine oil at the oil dipstick opening.
Use only engine oil listed in the Operation Manual!
(5)
Install the oil dipstick.
(6)
Measure the oil level.
Refer to Section 12-10-00.
