3. Oil Filter
A. Remove the Oil Filter

(1)
Remove the oil filter cover.
Refer to Fig. 79 - 8.
(2)
Remove the oil filter from the oil filter cover.
(3)
Remove the O-Rings from the oil filter cover.
(4)
Examine the oil filter for debris and metal
chips.
(5)
Discard the oil filter and the O-Rings.
B. Install the Oil Filter

Put new O-Rings at the oil filter cover.
Refer to Fig. 79 - 7.
(2)
Put the new oil filter on the oil filter cover.
Refer to Fig. 79 - 8.
(3)
Install the oil filter cover.
Torque 25 Nm.
(4)
Clean the working area.
(5)
Do an engine ground run.
Refer to Section 71-00-01.
(6)
Examine the oil system for leakage.
