9. Turbocharger Oil Return Line
A. Remove the Turbocharger Oil Return Line

Drain the engine oil.
Refer to Section 79-20-00
Paragraph 5.A.
(2)
Remove the lock-wire at the banjo bolt at the oil
sump.
Refer to Fig. 79 - 22.
(3)
Remove the banjo bolt at the oil sump.
(4)
Remove the screws at the turbocharger.
(5)
Remove the screw with the clamp at the
crankcase.
(6)
Remove the oil return line.
Pull the line carefully from the
adapter.
(7)
Remove the banjo bolt / adapter assembly, if
necessary.
Refer to Paragraph C.
B. Install the Turbocharger Oil Return Line

Install the new O-Ring at the banjo bolt/adapter
assembly.
Refer to Fig. 79 - 21.
(2)
Install the banjo bolt / adapter assembly, if
removed before.
Refer to Paragraph D.
Do not use lubricant with acid!
(3)
Lubricate the O-Ring with engine oil.
Refer to Fig. 79 - 21.
(4)
Install the new sealing rings at the banjo bolt at
the oil sump.
(5)
Install the new gasket at the oil return line.
(6)
Push the oil return line back to the adapter.
Refer to Fig. 79 - 22.
(7)
Install the banjo bolt at the oil sump.
Do not tighten the banjo bolt at
this time!
(8)
Put the screw with the clamp at the crankcase.
Do not tighten the screw at this
time!
(9)
Tighten the screw at the turbocharger.
Torque 9 Nm.
