D. Examine the Two-Mass Flywheel
Overview
The flywheel structure consists of two discs (masses):
Primary mass (E4A-73-300-201) the bigger disc with the starter ring and pick up ring.
Secondary mass (E4A-73-300-202) the smaller disc.
The discs are connected together with springs at the inner of the primary disc.
Starter ring and pick-up ring are installed outer of the primary mass contour.
The pick-up ring has a clearance of two teeth which is necessary for the engine speed
measuring. Refer to Fig. 85 - 49.
