1. General
This section contains the procedures how to remove, install, and examine the starter.

A. Remove the Starter

(1)
Disconnect the battery as follows:
- The negative pole
- The positive pole.
Refer to the applicable Aircraft
Maintenance Manual.
(2)
Disconnect the electrical cables from the
starter.
(3)
Remove the tie rap from the branch of the
Glow Plug Control Unit (GPC).
Refer to Fig. 80 - 1.
(4)
Remove the two screws and the spacers from
the GPC-bracket.
(5)
Remove the screw from the starter.
Refer to Fig. 80 - 2.
(6)
Remove the GPC.
Refer to Fig. 80 - 1.
(7)
Remove the second screw from the starter.
(8)
Carefully remove the starter.
