70-30-00 Installation of helical threaded inserts
1. General
This section contains instructions how to install helical threaded inserts (e.g. HELICOIL LN 9039,
LN 9499, and NASM 21209). The helical threaded inserts are used to repair damaged or worn
threads.
The threads qualified for repair are listed in the related chapters of the Repair Manual or other
maintenance data.
Unless specified differently, do the repair of a damaged thread only once.
