B. Install the High Pressure Pump (HPP)
Lightly lubricate the rubber gasket with engine
oil.
Fill the pump with fuel (if not already filled).
Put the HPP into the rear housing.
Tighten the screws that attach the HPP.
Tighten the flare nut of the fuel pipe.
Tighten the banjo bolt of the fuel return line with
the new sealing rings.
Do not use Loctite on thread with grease!
Apply only a thin film of Loctite!
Tighten the banjo bolt with the fuel pressure
sensor.
Use Loctite 243 and new sealing
rings.
Torque 22 Nm.
Refer to Fig. 73 - 16.
Bend and align the fuel supply line.
Refer to the applicable Aircraft
Maintenance Manual.
Install the connector (FMU).
Install the connector (FTS).
Install the connector (FPS).
Refer to Section 71-00-01.
After the ground run the engine
must be cooled down (40°C-50°C /
104°F-122°F).
Make sure that the engine cools down, before you do any work on the
engine. Contact with the hot engine can cause severe burns.
Tighten the banjo bolt of the fuel return line.
Safety the banjo bolt of the fuel return line with
lock-wire.
Examine the fuel system for leakage.
