B. Install the Oil Filter Housing Drain Line

(1)
Install new gasket rings on the banjo bolt at the
oil sump.
Refer to Fig. 79 - 9.
(2)
Connect the lower end of the drain line to the
banjo bolt at the oil sump.
(3)
Connect the banjo bolt to the oil sump.
(4)
Connect the upper end of the drain line to the
fitting of the oil filter housing.
Over-torque of the banjo bolt can cause serious damage to the oil sump!
(5)
Tighten the banjo bolt on the oil sump.
Torque 20 Nm.
(6)
Tighten the lower sleeve nut of the oil drain line
(oil sump).
Torque 16 Nm.
(7)
Tighten the upper sleeve nut of the oil drain line
(oil filter housing).
Torque 16 Nm.
(8)
Secure the banjo bolt on the oil sump with lock-
wire.
Refer to Chapter 70.
(9)
Clean the working area.
(10)
Do an engine ground run.
Refer to Section 71-00-01.

Examine the oil system for leakage.
