Troubleshooting Information
1. General
The table below includes the possible defects of the lubrication system. If you have the trouble listed
in the Trouble column, read across to the Possible Cause column. Then do the repair in the Repair
column.
Defective gasket or seal.
Replace the gasket or seal.
Replace the leaking
components.
Leakage at the oil-inlet.
Replace the turbocharger oil
supply line.
Leakage at the oil-outlet.
Replace the turbocharger oil
return line.
Total oil loss through oil drain
screw.
Engine oil temperature too
high.
Coolant oil heat exchanger
blocked.
Destroyed silicate cartridge
leads to a blocked coolant
which causes an increased oil
temperature.
Replace the coolant oil heat
exchanger and clean the
coolant system well with the
use of AEP-00367-100 Coolant
flushing tool.
Excessive oil consumption.
Oil loss through breather line.
