Remove the screws that attach the oil sump
to the crankcase.
Refer to Fig. 79 - 2.

Carefully remove the oil sump.
B. Install the Oil Sump

Do the steps (1) through (5) only if the oil baffle was removed.

Install the oil baffle panel.
Refer to Fig. 79 - 2.

Put a single washer between the oil baffle
panel and the screw.
Refer to Fig. 79 - 2.
Do not use Loctite on thread with grease!
Apply only a thin layer of Loctite!

Make sure that the thread is clean.
(4)
Apply Loctite 243.
(5)
Install the oil baffle panel screws.
Torque 5 Nm ±0.5
If the washers are already soldered onto the baffle panel, no additional
washers have to be installed.

Install the RH engine mount arm, if it was
removed before.
Refer to the applicable Aircraft
Maintenance Manual.

Install the oil drain plug.
Refer to Section 79-20-00 Paragraph
5.B

Install the oil level sensor, if it was removed
before.
Refer to Section 79-30-00 Paragraph
2.B

Install the oil dipstick, if it was removed
before.
Refer to Fig. 79 - 2.
Use a small quantity of sealant near the joint of the crankshaft cover.
Refer to Fig. 79 - 3.

Install the crankshaft sensor, if it was
removed before.
Refer to Section 76-10-00 Paragraph

Carefully put a new gasket on the oil sump.
Refer to Fig. 79 - 2.

Put the oil sump on the engine.

Apply Loctite 243.
