79-30-00 Oil System Sensors
1. General
This section contains the maintenance procedures for the part of the oil system that shows the
quantity and the pressure of the oil.
2. Oil Level Sensor
A. Remove the Oil Level Sensor

Disconnect the electrical connector (MOK).
Refer to Fig. 79 - 30.
(2)
Remove the screws that attach the oil level
sensor.
(3)
Remove the oil level sensor.
B. Install the Oil Level Sensor

Lubricate a new O-Ring with engine oil.
(2)
Install the new O-Ring on the oil level sensor.
(3)
Install the oil level sensor on the oil sump.
(4)
Push down the sensor with light pressure in the
oil sump.
Refer to Fig. 79 - 30.
Do not use Loctite on thread with grease!
Apply only a thin layer of Loctite!
(5)
Tighten the oil level sensor with screws,
washers, the terminals and clamps.
Torque 5 Nm.
Apply Loctite 243.
(6)
Connect the electrical connector (MOK).
(7)
Clean the working area.
(8)
Do an engine ground run.
Refer to Section 71-00-01.
(9)
Examine the oil system for leakage.
