B. Install the Intake Air Manifold
Detail Steps/Work Items
Key Items/References
(1)
Install a new gasket.
Refer to Fig. 85 - 90.
(2)
Put the intake air manifold in position above
the cylinder head sealing area.
(3)
Tighten the 9 collar screws on the intake air
manifold.
Torque 14 Nm.
Refer to Fig. 85 - 90.
(4)
Install the coolant thermostat.
Make sure the O-Ring is in the correct position.
Refer to Section 85-50-00 Paragraph
4.B.
(5)
Install the coolant hoses.
Refer to the applicable Aircraft
Maintenance Manual.
(6)
Install the intake air temperature sensors:
#1 - IAT1
#2 - IAT2
Refer to Paragraph 3.B.
(7)
Remove the safety plug from the sensor and
connector.
(8)
Install the electrical connectors to the intake air
temperature sensors:
+ IAT1 (B50/1)
- IAT2 (B50/2)
(9)
Install the boost pressure sensors:
#1 - BPS1
#2 - BPS2
Refer to Paragraph 2.B.
(10)
Install the electrical connectors to the boost
pressure sensors:
BPS1 (B5/1)
BPS2 (B5/2)

Install the coolant temperature sensors:
#1 - CTS
#2 – CTS
Refer to Section 85-50-00 Paragraph
1.B.
If the optional gearbox oil
cooler is installed, install
only #1 CTS.
Refer to Fig. 85 - 93.

Install the electrical connectors to the coolant
temperature sensors:
CTS (B50/3)
CTS (B50/4)
If the optional gearbox oil
cooler is installed, install
only the electrical
connector CTS (B50/3).
Refer to Fig. 85 - 93.

Install the plug screw on the intake air
manifold.
If the optional gearbox oil
cooler is installed.
Torque 15 Nm.
