4. Coolant Thermostat
A. Remove the coolant thermostat
Refer to the applicable Aircraft
Maintenance Manual.
Remove the coolant hoses attached to the
coolant thermostat.
Remove the two screws from the coolant
thermostat.
Remove the coolant thermostat.
B. Install the coolant thermostat
Install the coolant hoses to the coolant
thermostat.
Refer to the applicable Aircraft
Maintenance Manual.
Clean the connecting surface of the intake air
manifold, if necessary.
Lubricate the O-Ring with engine oil.
Install the coolant thermostat with the O-Ring
onto the intake air manifold.
Make sure the coolant thermostat and
the O-Ring are correctly installed.
Make sure the thermostat applies no
tension on the air intake manifold.
Refer to Fig. 85 - 163 and Fig. 85 -
164.
Tighten the two screws with the clamp of the
wiring harness on the coolant thermostat.
If engine harness E4A-95-000-000, or
E4B-95-000-000is used, it is not
necessary to install the clamp of the
wiring harness.
Fill and bleed the coolant system.
Refer to the applicable Aircraft
Maintenance Manual.
Refer to Section 71-00-01.
Examine the coolant system for leakage.
