2. 3 Special Interfaces
The system supports a range of special interfaces.
2. 3. 1 Ethernet interfaces
The Ethernet interface on the basic system is available for the following purposes:
• data exchange with WebAdmin
• signalling and transmitting voice data (VoIP) in an Mitel Advanced Intelligent Net-
work (AIN)
• linking up the Mitel Open Interfaces Platform (OIP)
• the connection of a CTI, alarm, ATAS or messaging server, etc.
• the connection of IP system phones
• the connection of SIP terminals (softphones or desk phones)
• The connection to one or more SIP providers.
• Networking MiVoice Office 400 communication servers via SIP, etc.
