12. Chassis Management
This chapter describes basic system commands to control the ROX™-based system. Among the data
available are:
• Hardware type and revision information
• Module firmware versions
• Current module status
• Temperature and power supply sensor data
This chapter also describes the “Chassis” menu and sub menus, which provide comprehensive
diagnostic information for the RuggedBackbone™ chassis and all installed hardware modules.

The Chassis menu is accessible from the main menu under Chassis. This menu contains chassis-level
configuration and status features. A variety of sub menus can be linked to from the Chassis menu. The
Chassis sub menu section is organized so that information tables appear on a screen closer to the top
level and clicking on one of the sub menus brings up the form(s) associated with the table. For example,
clicking on the Chassis menu and then the Hardware sub menu will display the Slot Hardware table.
Further clicking on the pm1 sub menu will display the Slot Hardware form.

The Chassis Status form contains basic status information about the chassis. This form appears on the
same screen as the Chassis menu.
