13. PPP Users
ROX™ v2.2 User Guide 135 RuggedBackbone™ RX1500
13. PPP Users
13.1. Overview
Use the PPP menu to configure local and remote authentication for PPP user login through an L2TP
client.
A PPP Server can be configured to accept a connection request only after validating the user’s
credentials. When so configured, the login credentials can be verified locally based on the information
configured in global/ppp/profiles/dial-in, or can be verified through a remote RADIUS server configured
in global/ppp/radius.
Use the dial-out option to create a profile for users who dial out to a PPP server. In this case, the device
acts as a PPP client.
PPP users, profiles, and settings are configured on forms found under the PPP menu. To display the
PPP menu, navigate to global/ppp.
13.2. PPP Configuration
The PPP menu is accessible from the main menu under admin. The PPP menu provides access to forms
that allow you to add and remove PPP users and profiles and make adjustments to related settings.
