To display the VLANs table, navigate to interface/eth/{line module}/vlan.

To display the VLANs form, navigate to interface/eth/{line module}/vlan/{number}.
VLAN ID
Synopsis: integer
VLAN ID for this routable logical interface
IP Address Source
Synopsis: string - one of the following keywords { dynamic, static }
Default: static
Whether the IP address is static or dynamically assigned via DHCP or BOOTP. The DYNAMIC
option is a common case of a dynamically assigned IP address. It switches between BOOTP and
DHCP until it gets the response from the relevant server. It must be static for non-management
interfaces
on-demand
This interface is up or down on demand of link fail over.

If forbidden ports are configured, display the Forbidden Ports form by navigating to switch/vlans/static-
vlan/{number}/forbidden-ports.
Slot
Synopsis: string - one of the following keywords { lm6, lm5, lm4, lm3, lm2, lm1, sm }
The name of the module location provided on the silkscreen across the top of the device.
Port
Synopsis: integer
The selected ports on the module installed in the indicated slot.
29.4. Troubleshooting
I don’t need VLANs at all. How do I turn them off?
Simply leave all ports set to type “Edge” and leave the native VLAN set to 1. This is the default
configuration for the switch.
I have added two VLANs: 2 and 3. I made a number of ports members of these VLANs. Now I need
some of the devices in one VLAN to send messages to some devices in the other VLAN.
If the devices need to communicate at the physical address layer, they must be members of the same
VLAN. If they can communicate in a Layer 3 fashion (i.e. using a protocol such as IP or IPX), you
