71 – System Description
Add protection to the wires and cables attached
to assemblies where movement occurs
(rotating parts), if necessary.
This will prevent wires and cables
deterioration.
Make sure that the wires and cables have
enough tension.
- Make the maintenance easier
(alignment, servicing tuning,
removal of covers, and replacement
of internal components)
- Prevent mechanical strain on the
wires, cables, junctions and
supports
- Make the installed shock and
vibrations equipment movement
possible.
Secure the insulated tubing and abrasion
protection.
Use straps, cable ties, or clamps.
Make sure that the wires and cables have
applicable support.
- Interference with other wires,
cables, and equipment.
- Too much movement in the areas
of high vibration.
Use:
- rubberized metal clamps for
primary support
- plastic clamps for horizontal wiring.
The intervals between clamps must not
be more than 600 mm.
