Always use a torque angle gauge to turn the torque-to-yield bolt!
Over-torque can cause engine failure!

Torque the clamping shoes.
Level 1: 7 Nm
Level 2: 90º
Level 3: 90º

Connect the fuel line to each injector.
Refer to Fig. 73 - 3.
Torque 22 Nm.
Excessive bending of injector can cause the sealing ring failure. This will lead
to a leaking combustion chamber.

Tighten the flare nuts at each injector.
Torque 22 Nm.
Refer to Fig. 73 - 3.
Use a wrench (13 mm) to
hold the injector connection
port when you torque the
flare nut. (See also 73-10-
03 A).

Tighten the four nuts that connect the injector fuel line on
the fuel rail.
Torque 27 Nm.
Refer to Fig. 73 - 3.

Connect the fuel return line to each injector.
Refer to Fig. 73 - 3.

Install the circlip on the fuel return line on each injector.
Refer to Fig. 73 - 14.

Connect the engine harness to each injector.
Press the connector lock.
Refer to Fig. 73 - 3.

Install the injector cover.
Refer to Section 85-10-00
Paragraph 3.B.

If new injectors are installed, program the IQA-Code into
the EECU with the AE 300-Wizard.

Do an engine ground run.
Refer to Section 71-00-01.

Examine the fuel system for leakage under the injector
cover.
