85-Maintenance Procedures

85-60-00 Governor
The Governor is not part of the engine. For detailed information, refer to the
applicable Aircraft Maintenance Manual.
A. Remove the Governor

(1)
Remove the electrical connector (GOV).
Refer to Fig. 85 - 165.
(2)
Remove the oil hose, if installed.
Refer to the applicable Aircraft
Maintenance Manual.
Refer to Fig. 85 - 166.
(3)
Remove the four stop nuts from the
governor.
Refer to Fig. 85 - 165.
(4)
Carefully pull down the governor.
(5)
Remove the gasket and clean the sealing
surface.
B. Install the Governor

Key Items/References
(1)
Use a new gasket.
Make sure the gasket is in the correct position.
The curved side of the gasket metal sieve must be installed in the direction
of the governor.
(2)
Carefully push the governor in position.
(3)
Tighten the governor with four new stop nuts
crosswise.
Torque 20 Nm.
Refer to Fig. 85 - 165.
(4)
Connect the electrical connector (GOV).
Refer to Fig. 85 - 165.
(5)
Connect the oil hose, if installed.
Refer to the applicable Aircraft
Maintenance Manual.
Refer to Fig. 85 - 166.
(6)
Clean the working area.
(7)
Do an engine ground run.
Refer to Section 71-00-01.
(8)
Examine the gearbox oil system for leakage.
(9)
Complete an inspection of the gearbox oil
level.
Adjust the gearbox oil level if
necessary.
