User Guidelines
If only one RADIUS server is configured, it is recommended that the
deadtime interval be left at 0. If a RADIUS server is currently active and
responsive, that server will be used until it no longer responds. RADIUS
servers whose deadtime interval has not expired are skipped when searching
for a new RADIUS server to contact.
Example
The following example sets the minimum interval for a RADIUS server will
not be contacted after becoming unresponsive.
console(config)#radius-server deadtime 10
radius-server host
Use the radius-server host command to specify a RADIUS server host and
enter RADIUS Server Configuration mode. To delete the specified RADIUS
host, use the no form of this command.
Syntax
radius-server host [acct | auth] {ip–address | hostname}
no radius-server host [acct | auth] {ip–address | hostname}
acct | auth—The type of server (accounting or authentication).
ip–address—The RADIUS server host IP address.
hostname —Host name of the RADIUS server host. (Range: 1–255
characters).
Default Configuration
The default server type is authentication. The default server name is Default
RADIUS Server. The default port number is 1812 for an authentication
server and 1813 for an accounting server.
