User Manual
Touching the menu expander will open the settings dialog box. Touch the {Assign} button, the
button will light up “light blue” (as shown below). The function will be displayed when scrolling
through the function list. To enable the function touch the OLED button.
Duck - selects whether a duck Level is applied to the “Program” when the Program goes to air.
In ducking, the level of one audio signal is reduced by the presence of another signal. For
example this can typically be achieved by lowering (ducking) the volume of a secondary audio
source when the primary audio source starts, and lifting the volume again when the primary
audio source is finished.
A typical use of this effect is for creating a voice-over: a foreign language original source is
dubbed (and ducked) by someone reading the translation. Ducking becomes active as soon as
the translation starts.
Preset Audio
Preset Audio, like Preset video is the audio that will go live to air when a transition or Take Next
is made. Preset audio can be monitored so that you will know that the audio source is the
correct one.
As with the Program menu, the audio meter is the level of audio for the selected Preset source.
The audio level is not affected when using the fader control. The audio level can be monitored
as an AES output and the level set using the fader control. When a transition is made or a Take
Next is done and the Preset video/audio becomes the Program video/audio going live to air,
the audio level is output at the level set by the fader. The fader provides some gain +10dB and
attenuation (0dB to -Inf).
