DMEM’s
What is a DMEM
A DMEM or Dynamic Memory, saves set-up information related to a single system setup, which
may contain information such as:
• Bus set-up (Crosspoints, Keyers, Wipes, Transitions)
•Macros
•DVE moves
• Effects Dissolve (Key Layers and Stores)
• Masks, Crops, Borders
DMEMs are saved using the number pad in the “Shortcuts” menu. From this menu, you are able
to save up to 1000 DMEMs into the DMEM filing system.
DMEMs can be attached to the OLED user function buttons on the control surface allowing you
to quickly recall setup states with effects.
Saving a DMEM
There are two ways to save a DMEM, both are in the {Shortcuts} menu.
• Load/Save Pad - this menu allows you to save DMEMs and also save Stores and
Engineering, User and Panel config files.
• Number Pad - this allows you to save DMEMs.
Load/Save Pad
The Load/Save Pad allows you to quickly setup and save or load files such as DMEMs, Stores
and config files. The menu also allows the user to setup Enables to enable/disable functionality
within the selected file type.
To use the Load/Save Pad, to save a file. First, select the file type that you want to load or save,
then use the number pad to enter the file number.
Note: How Effects Dissolve works with DMEMs will be explained in the
Effects Dissolve chapter in this manual.
