Masterpiece Setup
In the Masterpiece ”Eng Config - Protocols” menu select “Miscellaneous” in the “Protocol Type”
parameter.
In the “Available Protocols” table, select “Sage EAS”, select a clear row in the “Loaded Protocols”
table and then touch the {Load} button.
Touch the {Configure...} button and then in the “Protocol Config” menu, set the “Transport
Type” as RS422 Port, the “Baud Rate” should automatically be 9600, the Sage ENDEC baud rate
can also be set to 9600. Finally back in the Protocol menu, touch the {Activate} button.
Note: As the EAS triggering is received and defined by the Masterpiece as a
“Warning State” internally, Masterpiece is able to send data to the
SysLogServer (if set-up at the facility), the SysLogServer data will include:
EAS Start Event + Timestamp, the EAS Characters, and then EAS End Event
with Timestamp.
