INJURY FROM MAGNETS THAT DETACH
Mount the magnets with the brass screws provided. If you mount them with plastic screws
or adhesive, the attaching means could fail and the magnets become dangerous projectiles,
especially from high-speed presses.
Failure to comply with these instructions could result in death or serious injury.
NOTICE
Use a brass or other non-ferrous screw to mount the magnet. If you use a steel or other
ferrous screw, this could cause false signals.
3. Permanently install the magnet where it is temporarily mounted. Drill and tap a hole,
using a No. 36 drill and 6-32 tap. Mount the magnet, plastic side up, with the 6-32 brass
screw provided.
4. After you permanently install the magnet, run the press to make sure it operates without
error. Cycle the press a few times in Single Stroke mode. If the press runs in
Continuous mode, run it in Continuous mode for several strokes. Go to page 127 to
perform checkout tests for your installation.
Check the ON and OFF Time of the Overrun Sensor
If you have problems with the overrun limit sensor, Wintriss Tech Support may ask you to
check the sensor’s ON and OFF settings. Go to Run mode. Press F3-“Show Overrun
Angles.” A box appears that shows the on and off angles.
