SmartPAC 2 Initialization Mode Chapter 4 page 267
SAVE TO USB DISK
(INITIALIZATION – DIAGNOSTICS – SAVE TO USB DISK)
Follow these instructions to copy the error/event log and other data to a USB disk. If your
SmartPAC 2 is not networked, this is a convenient way to obtain this data. Later you can
transfer it to a computer and then e-mail them to Wintriss Tech Support. If you have made a
Screen Capture (page 199), that will also be saved to the USB disk.
1. Power down your SmartPAC 2.
2. Open the enclosure or console to access the SmartPAC 2 board.
3. Find the USB connector on the board, J121. Refer to Figure 2 - 39, page 162.
4. The USB disk can fit into the USB connector only in the correct orientation. Determine
this orientation and, without forcing it, carefully insert the USB disk into the USB
connector.
5. Close the enclosure or console door. Power up the SmartPAC 2 with WPC.
6. Go to the main Initialization menu. Select DIAGNOSTICS. In the screen that appears
select SAVE TO USB DISK. A message appears saying, “Please wait while the data is
being transferred to the USB disk. This may take up to one minute.”
7. Another message appears when the data transfer is complete. Press RESET to exit the
screen.
8. Power down your SmartPAC 2. Remove the USB disk.
