Load an Existing Tool
(PROGRAM – GO TO THE TOOL MANAGER – F5-LOAD TOOL)

Ensure that all personnel stand clear when you load a tool.
Failure to comply with these instructions will result in death or serious injury.
1. To load a tool from the Tool Manager list, highlight the tool, using the cursor keys.
Then press F5-“Load Tool.”
ENTER YOUR PASSWORD
USE THE KEYPAD TO ENTER NUMBERS.
USE THE UP/DOWN CURSON KEYS TO
INCREASE/DECREASE. PRESS ENTER
WHEN DONE. PRESS RESET TO CANCEL.

If this display appears, you need to enter the general password to access these settings. Password
access is set under Security Access in Initialization mode. See “Security Access,” page 251.
NOTICE
You can also load tool numbers in Run mode, if allowed by security access, as long as the
press is stopped.

A box appears similar to the figure above, which gives the tool number and other
information shown.
• If you do not want to change any of the items, press ENTER. Go to the next step.
• If you want to enter or change a value for one of the items, highlight it and press
ENTER. A numeric entry box appears. Key in the value using the number keys or
adjust the value with the up and down cursor keys. Then press ENTER to accept the
value. When you have changed the settings you want, press ENTER again.
