Set Top Stop Angle and Install Overrun Magnet

INJURY DURING SETUP
Keep all personnel away from the press during setup.
Ensure that there is no die or other tooling in the press during setup.
Failure to comply with these instructions will result in death or serious injury.
First, you will set the Top Stop Angle so that the press stops accurately at the top of the
stroke. Then, you will install the magnet for the overrun limit switch.
Top Stop Angle is the point in the stroke at which the top-stop cam turns on. Follow the
instructions below to determine the correct Top Stop angle and set it for your press.
NOTICE
RE-ADJUSTING TOP STOP ANGLE
If you have previously set up your press and set the Top Stop Angle, skip the next section
and start with “Prepare to Determine Top Stop Angle.”
Set Top Stop Angle for the First Time
NOTICE
If you have already set the Top Stop Angle at least once on this WPC on this press, go to
the next section.
The first time you set up the WPC control on your press, enter an initial value for Top Stop
Angle of 270° .
1. In Run mode (see page 325), select PRESS CONTROL. Select the Top Stop Angle value
on the menu that appears.
2. Now set the Top Stop Angle value to 270° by pressing the up or down cursor keys as
needed. When “270” appears, press RESET and go to the next section.
NOTICE
Use this value, 270° , as the “Old Top Stop Angle” in the instructions below.
