70 - Maintenance Procedures
Do not exceed the maximum recommended torque!
If you apply torque to the heads or cap screws,
apply the recommended torque plus friction
drag torque.
If you use special adapters, adjust the final
torque indication or wrench setting.
Special adapters change the length
of the torque wrench.
Find the torque wrench indication or setting.
Refer to Fig. 70 - 13 and Fig. 70 - 14
for the adapter installation.
If you put the bolt in a freezer before installation, this will prevent friction in
interference fit applications. When you use this procedure, let the bolt come
to ambient temperature before torque.
