71 - Maintenance Procedures
Apply a self-vulcanizing tape on the area
where the engine harness roundit and the
repair kit roundit meet.
To prevent chafing, you can attach cable ties PLT1M-M30 and PLT4S-M30
on the Roundit and the repaired cable branch.
For fuel pressure sensor (FPS) branch only:
Install the shielding E4A-95-100-000 for the
engine harness.
- Put a netting over the FPS and FPS cable.
- Attach a cable tie on each netting end.
- Apply a tape to each netting end.
Netting length 180 mm.
Use the cable ties from the repair kit.
This will prevent netting splits.
Refer to Fig. 71 - 106 and Fig. 71 -
107.
Connect the ring terminal to the open end of
the solder sleeve.
If it is necessary to connect the ring terminal
to more than one pigtail (shared ring
terminal) (e.g. IAT):
Crimp both pigtails into the ring terminal.
Some repair kits have more ring
terminals.
You can identify the shared ring
terminals by the blue isolation.
Refer to Fig. 71 - 108.
Make sure that you use the correct ring
termination for the mounting position.
