71 -Maintenance Procedures
Move the solder sleeve (see Step (3))
over the wire of the remaining harness
and the shielding (see Step (5).
The red marking of the solder sleeve
must be over the shielding.
Put the white/black wire of the repair
kit cable E4A-90-R16-000 into the
solder sleeve. The wire must connect
to the shielding.
Apply heat to the solder sleeve until it
connects with the cable and the
shielding.
Use a hot air gun (300°C – 350°C).
Put the smaller Roundit over the cable.
Use the cable ties or/and tape of the
repair kit to attach the Roundit, if
necessary.
For a better chafing protection, put the
larger Roundit over the smaller
Roundit.
Use the cable ties or/and tape of the
repair kit to attach the Roundit, if
necessary.
Do a check of the connection between
pins.
