(1)
Use the special testing rig AEP-0061 to do the
mechanical function inspection.
Refer to Chapter 92.
(2)
Assemble the two-mass flywheel.
(3)
Attach the two-mass flywheel with its primary
mass on the adapter of the testing rig.
Refer to Fig. 85 - 67.
(4)
Attach a hub at the connecting flange of the
secondary mass and the bearing support of the
testing rig.
Refer to Fig. 85 - 68.
(5)
Attach a degree gauge at the input shaft to
measure the freeplay and the clearance angle
between the primary and the secondary mass.
Refer to Fig. 85 - 69.
To measure the clearance angle do the following steps:
ï‚· Turn the two-mass flywheel with a torque of 40 Nm in the counterclockwise (CCW)
direction.
ï‚· Release and let it to come to the CCW end stop.
ï‚· Set the degree measuring gauge to zero.
ï‚· Turn the two-mass flywheel with a torque of 40 Nm in the clockwise (CW) direction.
ï‚· Release and let it to come to the CW end stop.
ï‚· Record the clearance angle value on the degree measuring gauge in the table below.
