Install the shaft coupling assembly.
If the stop bolt and/or the stop nut is loose, do
the following steps:
- Remove the stop nut. Discard the stop
nut.
- Remove any unwanted particles from
the stop bolt and the sensor housing
cover.
- Install the stop bolt in the sensor
housing cover again.
- Apply Loctiteâ„¢ 510 between the stop
bolt and the sensor housing cover for
sealing.
- Apply Loctiteâ„¢ 243 on the thread of the
stop bolt.
- Install the washer and a new stop nut.
- Tighten the stop nut. Torque 5 Nm.
Refer to Fig. 85 - 129.
Make sure the nose of the coupling assembly closes the hole in the
camshaft gear. Refer to Fig. 85 - 127 and Fig. 85 - 128.
Make sure the crankshaft of the engine is in the TDC position (cylinder 1
ignition).

Install the sensor housing cover.

Tighten the 3 screws on the sensor housing
cover.
Torque 5 Nm.
Apply Loctiteâ„¢ 243.

Install the camshaft position sensor CAS 2.
Refer to Section 76-10-00 Paragraph
6.B.

For the Cylinder Head Version 2
(Refer to Section 85-30-00
Paragraph 4 for description), close
the opening with a screw plug.
