C. Remove the Water Pump Bearing Housing Assembly

Drain the coolant.
Refer to the applicable Aircraft
Maintenance Manual.
(2)
Remove the coolant pipe.
(3)
Remove the V-Ribbed belt.
Refer to Section 85-40-00 Paragraph
1.A.
(4)
Remove the four screws from the belt pulley.
Refer to Fig. 85 - 160.
(5)
Remove the belt pulley from the water pump
bearing housing assembly.
(6)
Remove the five screws from the water pump
bearing housing assembly.
(7)
Remove the water pump bearing housing
assembly and the profile gasket.
Discard the gasket.
Discard the water pump bearing
housing assembly if you find leakage.
Refer to Fig. 85 - 160.
(8)
Examine the sealing surface of the water
pump housing for mechanical damages
(scratches, dents, cracks, etc.).
If you find any damage on the sealing
surface, replace the water pump.
For removal/installation instructions,
refer to Paragraph A and B.

Clean the sealing surface of the water pump
housing.
