5 Return the unit to its original
position.
6 Close the front cover of the finisher.
Note • A message will be displayed and the machine will not operate if the front cover of the finisher
is not completely closed.
Emptying the Punch Scrap Container
(When a C Finisher/C Booklet Finisher is Installed)
When a C Finisher or C Booklet Finisher (optional) is installed to the machine, the
machine displays a message when the punch scrap container becomes full. Discard
the scraps according to the message.
The following shows the procedure for emptying the punch scrap container when a C
Booklet Finisher is installed.The procedure is also the same on the machine with a C
Finisher installed.
If you take the punch scrap container out of the machine, make sure to empty it
completely. If it is reinstalled with some scraps remaining, it may become full before the
message appears again, and this can cause machine breakdown.
Important • When emptying the punch scrap container, make sure that the machine is switched on. If the
machine is not switched on, it will not recognize that the punch scrap container had been
emptied.
1 Make sure that the machine is not
in operation before opening the
front cover of the finisher.
2 Pull out the punch scrap container
R4 towards you.
