The Print Result is Not What was Expected
Follow the procedure below if the print result is not what was expected.
No
The data has been sent to
the machine.
Cause Out of paper.
Action Supply paper to the machine.
Cause No paper for the specified paper size.
Action Set the specified size paper.
"Loading Paper in the Trays 1 to 4" (P.239), or
Refer to "Loading Paper in the Tray 5 (Bypass)" (P.240).
Cause Printing is interrupted by a copy operation.
Action Cancel the interrupting operation.
Cause An error occurred with the machine.
Action Check the error details.
Documents are not
stapled.
Cause The Finisher is not attached.
No Action The Finisher is needed to staple documents. Attach the
Finisher, or change the print option setting to cancel
stapling.
Cause The number of pages to be stapled exceeded 50.
Action A maximum of 50 pages can be stapled. Reduce the
number of printed pages to 50 or less.
The 2-sided printing is not
available.
Cause The Duplex Kit is not attached.
No Action The Duplex Kit is needed for 2-sided printing. Attach the
Duplex Kit, or cancel stapling from the print option settings.
Cause The print page buffer is insufficient.
Action Add memory.
The document is printed
with a different paper size.
Cause The document size is different from the paper size in the
specified tray.
No Action Change the paper in the tray, or change the print option to
specify a tray that contains the correct size paper.
The document edges are
missing on the output.
Cause The image is larger than the printable area.
No Action Expand the printable area, or reduce the document print
area.
