Audio Override
Override Main Output - “Yes”. This will enable the following parameters to be automatically
applied in the event of an Alert determined by the GPI. This will act separately to any other
audio Settings.
Audio Source - this allows the selection of the audio source. By default it will be “AES In 4” .).
In the even that all AES sources are in used, other SDI sources can be used. This requires the
user to embed the required audio and make sure its available.
Override Shuffle - the default new EAS to LCR (Left, Centre, Right), which can be edited or
alternate a shuffle, can be selected. This will place the Audio (e.g. AES) on the 1st three SDI
audio output Channels (assumed to be Front left, Front Right and center).
The user can edit the “Shuffle Map” in the “Crosspoints” menu as required, to place the AES as
where needed, e.g. on All Channels (see Crosspoints - Shuffle menu), and note that the use of
mix that will mix the potential stereo AES into Mono or 1:1 for a 16 Channel SDI input pre
shuffled etc.
Override Main Output - “No”. this will make the user responsible for setting up the
Masterpiece such that it outputs the EAS alert audio (e.g via a Bus using a Macro to set the
Masterpiece into a specific state, and another to return to a specific state), or take the “Output
Audio” through the EAS Decoder or external switch.
Note: The Sage ENDEC unit can supply an AES feed for the Alert Audio over
AES.
