d Check if the belts, gears, and rollers are properly moving.
Are they properly moving?
Go to step 6. The problem is solved.

a Reseat the cable on the motors.
b Make sure that the motor is properly installed.
c Check the motor and cable for damage, and replace if necessary. See
“Motor (SHPF feed) removal” on page 356 and “Motor (SHPF
transport) removal” on page 356.

Go to step 7. The problem is solved.
Step 7
a Make sure that the belts and gears connected to the motors are
properly installed.
b Check the belts and gears for wear or damage, and replace if
necessary. See
“SHPF—Transport section 2” on page 581.

Step 8
a Reseat the cable J5 and J9 on the SHPF controller board.
b If applicable, reseat the junction connectors on the cable.
c Make sure that the cable does not block the path of moving parts.
d Check the cable for damage, and replace if necessary.

Go to step 9. The problem is solved.
Step 9
a Make sure that the booklet maker transport sensor actuator is
properly installed.
b Check the actuator for damage, and replace if necessary. See “Sensor
(booklet maker transport) removal” on page 467.
