CONFIGURATION-Set-OC12 command to
change the “Protection Mode” from 1+1to0x1
for the service quad (1b or 3b)/slot address.

13. At the CIT, execute the
CONFIGURATION-Update-All command.

14. At the CIT, login to near-end node A. Use
CONFIGURATION-Set-OC12 command to
change the “Protection Mode” from 1+1to0x1
for the protection quad (3b or 7b) address.
NOTE:
As a result of changing the Protection
Mode from 1+1to0x1,the
cross-connections associated with the
protection quad are deleted.
