This command retrieves the provisioned transmit and receive path strings and the
actual receive path trace string for a DS3 circuit pack only (not for STS1E or
OC-3). The actual receive string at this node should be the provisioned transmit
string from another node. If the strings match, then the circuit path is good. The
provisioned receive string is what is expected at this node and may be different
than the actual receive string. If they differ, then the circuit path is a mismatch.
The path trace is for one STS-1 signal that is reported in either a text format or a
binary format. The first report (text format) displays only an ASCII text
interpretation. The second report (binary format) displays raw hexadecimal
values, followed by an ASCII text interpretation. Periods (...) indicate unprintable
ASCII characters for both formats.
