Purpose of Repeater Shelf — System Controller 3
The Repeater Shelf — System Controller provides high-level system control
functions and regenerates OC-48 signals for two OC-48 high-speed lines. The
Repeater Shelf — SYSCTL (Figure 3-20) consists of the fully connectorized
interconnection panel, a user panel, and eight circuit pack slots. It measures 21.5
inches high by 21.5 inches wide by 12 inches deep and fits in a standard 23-inch
wide seismic network bay framework. The miscellaneously mounted version can
also be mounted in certain
ESS switch frameworks.
