Electrical Line Buildout Specifications 10
Electrical line buildouts may be required to be connected in series with the
transmit LS INTFC cable connections depending on the application, cable type,
and cable length associated with that particular LS INTFC cable. Table 10-17
shows when electrical line buildouts should be used based on the actual cable
length (or equivalent measured signal level) for each transmit cable.
Notes:
1. The exclusive use of 735A coaxial cable for connections between the FT-2000 and terminating equipment is
strongly recommended. This is an important consideration when deciding office layout and equipment
arrangements during site planning. Use the cable length figures in the table to aid in office layout.
2. 734D coaxial cable is electrically equivalent to 734A cable and has a silver coating on the center conductor to
enhance crimping the connectors.
3. Direct connection of 734D cables to FT-2000 equipment is
not
recommended due to space limitations in the
interconnection panel. 735A cables should be used for these connections.
4. If cable length requirements exceed the lengths specified for 735A cable, 735A/734D or 735A/734D/735A
cable combinations may be used.
* This is a nonpreferred cable combination; a preferred cable type that does not require an LBO should be
used in its place if possible.
