NTP-011: Acceptance 365-575-102
Page2of4 Issue8.0,July2002
NOTE:
This procedure is only used if the FT-2000 add/drop-rings terminal
operating with an FT-LBA was installed by someone else. If the
installation has not been completed (including circuit pack
installation), notify the installation personnel or refer to 365-575-115
and/or 365-565-500 to complete the installation. If you completed the
terminal installation and/or the FT-LBA installation following the
procedures in 365-575-115 or 365-565-500, respectively, do not
perform this procedure.
It is assumed that installation of the FT-2000 add/drop-rings terminal
operating with an FT-LBA has been completed (including circuit pack
installation) for the engineered configuration. It is further assumed that the
add/drop-rings terminal and the FT-LBA are powered and running. If at any
point in this procedure the FT-2000 add/drop-rings terminal or the FT-LBA
fails to respond in the indicated way, refer the trouble to installation
personnel.
It is assumed that all of the FT-LBAs were in place (connected in the ring)
during the ring acceptance procedure (Acceptance: NTP-007).
Inspect the FT-2000 add/drop-rings terminal and
the FT-LBA for obvious damage.
2. Do you wish to test the FT-LBA environmental
discretes (inputs to the FT-2000 add/drop-rings
terminal) for proper operation?
If YES, then continue with Step 3.
If NO, then continue with Step 9.
3. If required, connect the craft interface terminal
(CIT) to the local FT-2000 network element and
condition it.
DLP-501
4. Log in to the CIT by entering "cit".
5.
NOTE:
Additional test information on the FT-LBA is contained in
365-565-500.
