Issue 8.0, July 2002 Page 1 of 2
TAP-169
Address ‘Inc. (From OC3) DCC Failure’ or Address
‘Inc. (From OC12) DCC Failure’
NOTE:
This condition means the Data Communications Channel (DCC) on the
indicated OC-3/OC-12 port has failed. The failure is most likely caused by a
hardware failure at the source of the incoming OC-3/OC-12 signal.
NOTE:
This condition will most likely prevent a remote login to the source of the
incoming OC-3/OC-12 signal.
1. Issue a Trouble Report to the source of the incoming OC-3/OC-12 signal stat-
ing that you are receiving an inc. (from OC3) DCC failure, or inc.
(from OC12) DCC failure condition and that they are to assume there is
no trouble at this (local) network element.
2. STOP! YOU HAVE COMPLETED THIS PROCEDURE.
