CONFIGURATION-Enter-Roll-STS1: This input performs a
CONFIGURATION-Delete-Crossconnection-STS1 input and a
CONFIGURATION-Enter-Crossconnection-STS1 input in a 1-step
process. This capability allows traffic to be rolled from one source to
another source as part of normal user operations. The 1-step process rolls
traffic from an existing source to a new source for 1-way and 1-way-DRI
cross-connections. The existing cross-connection and the new
cross-connection must have the same destination. Traffic is rolled from the
existing source to the new source by specifying the destination and source
of the existing 1-way or 1-way-DRI cross-connection to be deleted, the type
of new cross-connection (1-way or 1-way-DRI), and the new source of the
1-way or 1-way-DRI cross-connection to be entered. The node TID of the
source node in the ring must be specified. The source node is the node in
the ring where the low-speed signals on that STS-1 tributary originate.
This input is denied if the existing cross-connection, as specified, is not in
effect or if the new cross-connection does not meet the requirements for a
1-way or 1-way-DRI cross-connection.
CONFIGURATION-Enter-Roll-STS3: This input performs a
CONFIGURATION-Delete-Crossconnection-STS3 input and a
CONFIGURATION-Enter-Crossconnection-STS3 input in a 1-step
The source node is the node in
the ring where the low-speed signals on that STS-3 tributary originate.
This input is denied if the existing cross-connection, as specified, is not in
effect or if the new cross-connection does not meet the requirements for a
1-way or 1-way-DRI cross-connection.
NOTE:
Release 7.1 and later releases do not permit the user to configure
the Squelch Map. However, a Squelch Map Report is automatically
displayed should there be a cross-connect configuration error.
