Administration and Provisioning
Issue 8.0 July 2002
8-129
recorded after 10 consecutive STS-1 path/FEBE severely errored
seconds. These 10 seconds are counted, and each subsequent
second is counted until there are 10 consecutive seconds without an
STS-1 path/FEBE severely errored second. The ten consecutive
seconds without an STS-1 path/FEBE severely errored second are
not counted as path/FEBE unavailable seconds. This parameter is
an integer from 1 to 63 (inclusive) for the quarter-hour bin and an
integer from 1 to 4095 (inclusive) for the day bin.
PERFORMANCE-Set-PM Threshold-T3 (TL1 = SET-TH): This input
provisions values for the threshold crossing alert parameters applied to the
DS3 line coding violations (DS3 B3ZS coding violations or bipolar
violations) and to the DS3 path coding violations data collected for each
DS3 port. DS3 path coding violations are based on P-bit errors. The DS3
path coding violations are based on P-bits errors or F and M framing bit
errors (provisionable). The F and M framing bit error counts are adjusted to
approximate the actual error count in the DS3 path payload.
The TCA Autonomous Report parameter specifies whether
autonomous reporting of threshold crossing alerts (TCAs) via TBOS
and TL1 is "Enable" or "Disable" for the selected
performance-monitoring bin and DS3 port(s).
The Line Errored Seconds parameter specifies the number of DS3
line errored seconds that will cause a threshold crossing alert for the
selected performance-monitoring bin and DS3 port(s). A DS3 line
errored second is recorded for each second during which there are
one or more B3ZS coding violations (bipolar violations), or a DS3
loss-of-signal defect in the DS3 signal input from the cross-connect
panel. This parameter is an integer from 1 to 900 (inclusive) for the
quarter-hour bin and an integer from 1 to 65,535 (inclusive) for the
day bin.
The Path Coding Violations parameter specifies the number of DS3
path coding violations that will cause a threshold crossing alert for
the selected performance-monitoring bin and DS3 port(s). This
parameter is the base 10 logarithm of the desired error rate. The
values are integers from -10 to -7 (inclusive) for the quarter-hour bin
and integers from -12 to -7 (inclusive) for the day bin.
The Path Errored Seconds parameter specifies the number of DS3
path errored seconds that will cause a threshold crossing alert for
the selected performance-monitoring bin and DS3 port(s). A DS3
path errored second is recorded for each second during which there
are one or more DS3 coding violations, one or more DS3 path AIS
Defects, or one or more DS3 path loss-of-frame defects detected in
the DS3 signal received from the OC-48 line. This parameter is an
integer from 1 to 900 (inclusive) for the quarter-hour bin and an
integer from 1 to 65,535 (inclusive) for the day bin.
The Path Severely Errored Seconds parameter specifies the
number of DS3 path severely errored seconds that will cause a
threshold crossing alert for the selected performance-monitoring bin
