REFERENCING THE PROBES
Referencing the probes zeros the probes on the work chucks.
The probes are automatically referenced during machine homing.
For details on the referencing process, refer to the Home Machine menu located in Menus Used
in Basic Operation, at the beginning of this chapter.
When to Reference the Probes
Always referencing the probes before measuring is strongly recommended.
To measure the thickness on an item placed on a work chuck, follow the steps below:
1. Following the procedures found in the Basic Operation section of this
chapter, power up and home the bridge.
2. Confirm that the bridge is homed and in its Left, Center, or Right position:
Note: In order to reference the probes, the bridge must be
positioned to permit the probes to reach the work chucks.
WARNING: If the bridge is not in its Left, Center, or Right position,
you may find that the probes will not reference.
You Touch to Select Explanation/Screen Display
a. Quit If needed, touch the "Quit" button to return to
the Main Menu.
