Regulatory Compliance
The regulatory compliance information and safety requirements in this
chapter are intended for CE-compliant and S2-93A-ready robotic systems
only:
To determine if your robot is CE compliant, check the manufacturing
label for the CE mark. If necessary, request the official Declaration of
Conformity (DOC) from Equipe.
To determine if your robot is S2-93A ready, refer to your product
model number. If necessary, request a copy of the third party
Certificate of Compliance (COC).
In addition to this chapter, several chapters, such as Installation and
Maintenance, include regulatory information.
Note that the nickel-coated robots are CE and S2-93A compliant, but the
black-anodized robots are not.
There are no ergonomic or human factor requirements for a robot.
CE Mark
The Single-Arm Robot assembly complies with CE Mark requirements
following the provisions of:
Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Directive
Low Voltage Directive (LVD)
Machinery Directive (MD)
The robot is intended to be integrated into an end-user system. If the robot
is used in a manner not specified by PRI Automation/Equipe Division, the
protection provided by the robot assembly is compromised.
EMC and ESD Protection
The robotic system was tested by a third party to ensure electromagnetic
compatibility for both emissions and immunity. The system complies
with the EMC Directive.
For protection against Electromagnetic Interference (EMI), it is strongly
recommended that you place the Equipe Smart Controller (ESC) as close
to the robot as possible.
