Why doesn’t the robot servo motor turn on?
Verify the following:
The power is on.
All cables are correctly connected.
The command syntax is correct.
If the problem persists, run these tests to identify the cause:
Send the STAT command from either the Teach Pendant or the
Information Request window of EQT 32. Follow up on any indicated
errors. (Refer to page 62 for information on using the STAT
command.)
Run the NVSRAM Diagnostic Test, Step 1, to determine the state of
NVSRAM and the files.
Run the Galil Diagnostic Test, Step 2, to check communication
between the Galil board and the CPU board.
Run the Diagnostic Servo Test, Step 7. If indicated, replace the
amplifier board.
Why doesn’t the robot move to home position?
If the robot servo motors turn on, but the robot does not respond to the
HOM macro, verify the following:
Send the STAT command from either the Teach Pendant or the
Information Request window of EQT 32. Follow up on any indicated
errors. (Refer to page 62 for information on using the STAT
command.)
Run Diagnostic Limit and Home Switch Test, Step 4, to determine any
problems with the limit switch assembly.
Have the Servo parameters in the Robot Parameter File, lines 9 to 15,
been changed? Test with ER set to a lower value.
